Yellow Brick Road Walk

Come follow the Yellow Brick Road to help solve family homelessness!

Yellow Brick Road is a family- friendly walk to support the work of Charlotte Family Housing, a shelter-to-housing program for homeless families, taking place on Sunday, April 15, 2012 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. Families will walk in the beautiful Elizabeth neighborhood on a two-mile walk that will lap the upper section of Independence Park.

If you found yourself and your family homeless tomorrow, where would you go?

Many families living in homelessness choose to live in a car versus a shelter so their family can stay together. Your participation in the Yellow Brick Road walk helps Charlotte Family Housing focus on keeping families together during such a traumatic time in their lives. There are very few places that can shelter an entire family together, whether it is a two-parent family, single fathers with children, and single mothers with teenage boys.

Help a homeless family who truly understands that “There’s no place like home.”
