Jumpstart is a car donation program that works in partnership with Charlotte Family Housing. By donating a used car, you can have a direct impact on struggling families.

Jumpstart is available to families in our program that show they are prepared to assume the financial responsibility of car ownership. To be eligible for a car, CFH families save for a down payment and adjust their budgets to ensure that they can afford monthly payments and maintenance after the purchase.

You can receive an optimal tax deduction with a donation to Jumpstart. The structure qualifies as an exception to the “gross proceeds rule” (IRS publication 4303), allowing donors to claim full fair market value for their vehicle.

It’s simple. Give us the keys and we’ll drive from there. Jumpstart handles the title transfer, DMV, and all of the necessary paperwork for you to claim your tax deduction.
