A Charlotte native with a heart for community, Dekina has been part of the CFH family since 2015—rising from Resident Advisor to Shelter Director thanks to her big heart, steady leadership, and “residents-first” mindset.
She brings a background in Social Work and Africana Studies, along with years of hands-on shelter experience, to help our families feel safe, supported, and seen.
When she’s off the clock, you’ll find her in the garden, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys , or planning her next family adventure with her husband and their four amazing kids.
